Emma says

Duinrell is undoubtedly a resort unrivalled as camping inside Holland's premier theme parks with one of Europe's top-ten water parks offers the experience of a life time. You will not be disappointed.”

Situated in the town of Wassenaar, our Dutch campsite, Duinrell Holiday Park, brings you the thrills and spills of a theme park combined with the relaxed pace of a camping holiday. Surrounded by soft sand dunes, sun dappled forests and countryside in every shade of green, Wassenaar lies slightly inland from Holland's beautiful west coast, with its sprawling eight kilometre blue flag beach and is the perfect place for a family holiday or short break. Aside from Wassenaar's natural attractions and theme park thrills, Camping Duinrell is perfectly placed to explore the nearby historical cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

What to eat and drink in Wassenaar

The Dutch adore potatoes. In fact, one of Vincent Van Gogh's most famous paintings is `The Aardappeleters' or potato eaters. Stamppot is the pinnacle of Dutch cuisine. A kilo of potatoes, boiled to oblivion, mixed with some really well done cabbage or raw endive and mashed into a pulp. Although Holland has a few other famous dishes like erwtensoep and snert (pea soup) the emphasis is on truly international cuisines, like Asian and modern European.

What to see and do in Wassenaar

Wassenaar lies just inland from Holland's wonderful west coast, with its sun dappled forests, wooded glades, cascading willows and undulating dunes. So there's plenty of places to relax and soak in the laid back atmosphere whilst on your camping holiday in Wassenaar. The Dutch love their theme parks and other attractions and De Efteling B.V is one of the oldest and most popular in Holland.
