INTRODUCING CHARENTE MARITIME
Part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine area of France, Charente Maritime is a historic region which has a mild, sunny climate and a busy economy with a bit of something for everyone. There's a definite emphasis on water from the marshes of the Marais Poitevin to the island of Marennes to the seaside resort of Royan. Don't forget to try the oysters, too, as these are a speciality in the region, along with the cognac and pineau (a lovely aperitif to accompany the world class food from the area).
"Amazing facilities, so much for the adults and children to do." Jaide from Dunmow
